Tonight as I was getting David ready for bed I was realizing we should probably wean his night-time bottle (we weaned him from all bottles except the night-time one at 18 months). But the more I thought about it, I think it would be us we were weaning that night-time bottle from. I really, really, really love those night-time snuggles and I'm afraid he won't snuggle the same way with a sippy. I guess I'll take these "problems" any day! :)
David's Birthday was on the 2nd and we had a nice laid-back day. Daddy and I took him to the children's museum in the morning and then in the afternoon we walked to Copp's to pick out a birthday cake. Perhaps it was coincidence but David had his first public meltdown (like fall-on-the-floor-screaming meltdown) in the middle of the grocery store when he realized he couldn't immediately eat his cake. Awesome. I felt the need to tell everyone that he was 2 so we were pretty much par for the course. He's been loving having had a birthday though — lots of requests for cake ALL THE TIME!
Today was a lovely day — in the 30s! We took advantage of the weather by going skiing. The bitter cold is supposed to kick in on Monday so I'm so happy we were able to get out while it was still nice!
Here are some pictures from the past couple days:
This is the box for David's blocks that my Uncle Don made. We gave him the blocks for his birthday.

Grey day.
Daddy pulling him up the hill.
Momma pulling him up the hill - don't be fooled - this was a steep hill!
Doesn't look amused - but we were out there for about 1.5 hours so he must have had an okay time.
Stay warm!
Love,
The Bungerts
